I am thrilled to be joining Yutan Jr./Sr. High School. Throughout my career, I have been a Duke, a Warrior, an Angel, and a Cavalier. I am excited to become a Chieftain! I was born and raised in Missouri, coming to Nebraska for college. I graduated from UNL with my degree in Elementary Education. I returned to UNL for my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and eventually a Masters in School Counseling. I've worked with students from 3rd grade through seniors, enjoying them all!

During my career, I have focused on connecting with students, keeping them safe, and helping them understand choices about their futures. I have led school crisis teams and school-wide initiatives in preventative suicide curriculums. I enjoy working with students as they plan their post-secondary lives, whether this includes further schooling, the military, or entering the workforce. I appreciate the struggles they experience as they make life choices and hope to give them the support they need as they work through them.

I have five children who have all flown the nest. The oldest three are married, while the youngest two are finishing up college. My grandchildren keep me busy and take up most of my free time! The rest of that free time goes to my two dogs, Millie and Riley. I look forward to serving our community of students and families in Yutan!
