FABLE MOVIES
This year as part of our 6th grade project our students studied fables.  Each child created an animation in PowerPoint showing their fable.  They wrote a story that showed how the moral of that fable could be applied to everyday life.  The groups turned their story into a screenplay and created storyboards for the production of their story.  They created the background scenery using PowerPoint.  They acted the story out in front of a green screen so their backgrounds could be used for scenery.  Click below to watch each movie.

ALLITERATION ANIMATIONS

We have studied another form of figurative language, alliteration.  Alliteration is the repetition of a sound or group of sounds at the beginning of words. It is often found in tongue twisters and poetry.  Authors use it to call attention to certain words or groups of words.  Students use the draw program in PowerPoint to create an " Alliteration Animation".  Click on each student to see what they have created.

IDIOMS
Check out our our idiom books.  The students studied idioms and chose one to illustrate.  An idiom is a saying that means something different than the words actually say.  Check out the books and see how many idioms you recognize.

PERSONIFICATION
Authors use the technique of personification to give human characteristics to something non human.  Check out our books.
